- I am 22 years old and a Texas A&M University graduate (class of '16, WHOOP!). Currently working towards my Masters in Professional Counseling. I'm all about movies and tv shows. I love reading and just hanging out with friends and family.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- I have a Golden Doodle puppy named Jackson, Jax for short. He is 7 weeks old right now. My family back home also has a 4 year old yorkie, Dexter, and a year old Golden Doodle, Remington. I intend to train Jax to be a therapy dog for young kids dealing with stressful situations as well as their parents.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Breeder
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I like that Golden Doodles are so loving and intelligent, I wanted a dog that I could love on and that would love being around people. The fact that they don't shed is also a plus.
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Since Jackson is so young we haven't really done all that much yet. But he is so cute to watch play with the other dogs and he already loves to cuddle.

Cailey ... Welcome to DK. Was just reading your profile and notice that you brought Jax home at 7 weeks and you are planning for him to be a therapy dog. Now is the time for big time socialization out in public with all sorts or people. You will need to be careful with this until he has all his puppy shots, but you can carry him places with you. Go to Lowes, Home Depot, shopping centers, festivals, fairs, etc. (just don't put him down on the ground to walk). The first 2-3 months are the most important time for this and he is going to need a lot of it if you want him to be a therapy dog. Expose him to as much as possible. Best of luck.
