Without saying anything to oppose what Karen and Sheri said, looking back at Willow's history, it feels to me that from early on before age 1, she had something about food, whether one calls it allergy or something else. LID might not be a bad idea still because had I known that we'd be facing very little choice for the kinds of protein for Willow, I would have been more careful exposing her to so many different kinds of meat by rotating every several months (which is ironically a way to prevent a dog from developing food allergy, as I read from different sources.)
As daunting as it seemed in the beginning, LID wasn't so difficult, or we just found an easier way to deal with it so far by using LID kibbles - she's on Nature's Variety LID rabbit, and California Natural LID Kangaroo before. So, I'd say try LID and see if it makes a difference. We use fruit / veggie for snack and also use a friend of ours to special order no egg dog treats. Good luck! Oakley is VERY cute!!
