About Me:

My husband & I are lucky enough to share out lives with TWO golden doodles. We bred their mother, a black standard poodle & she had 6 pups, all black. They were born on Halloween, hm? We kept two, Winston & Blue (both males) and they are our greatest joy. They will be 5 this Halloween.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

Our GoldenDoodles-
Winston is average to heavy boned, he weights almost 90 lbs. Blue is lighter boned & weighs @ 78 lbs. They are with us all the time, as we are retired. We have a horse farm, they enjoy going trail riding with us & horse camping. They love the water (except bathtime, of course)

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

We owned the mother, the standard poodle. We had never bred her before, she was 5 & we thought we'd like to have one litter from her before spaying her. We did some research on the "doodles" and found them to be the best of our two favorite breeds, and went for it. We have never regretted it for one minute. The other 4 pups from the litter have excellent homes with our friends.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Winston & Blue love to do just about anything we do. They love riding in the truck (in the back seat, of course) and going for boat rides on the lake. We beach the boat on a little island & have a picnic, throw the ball in the water & they swim after it. Their favorite thing to do is trail riding with the horses. We go 10-20 miles and they run out & back & around so they probably cover at least 2x as much ground as we do. They are pooped pups after a day or two of such.

Does your doodle(s) shed?

Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

We have a friend that has a kennel & she grooms our boys, she shapes them like Schnauzers, clipping all the body hair except the tail & ears & leaving them "eyebrows" & "mustaches".
