My husband, Lance, and I just moved from Eastern Washington to Oregon this summer. I recently joined the faculty of the Speech Communication Department at Oregon State University. I'm an animal lover, yogi, and competitive equestrian.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We have a Goldendoodle name Marshal. He's black and a very large 90 pounds. He's a big goofball and loves to run and play with his dog friends, as well as go out riding with me and my horse, Winchester. He's also great buddies with his two cats, Turk and Sophie.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We chose a doodle partly out of convenience (the breeder was a good friend), but also for the hypoallergenic quality. We'd also heard they are smart and easy going, both of which have turned out to be true!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
We love going on walks & playing fetch every day, but our absolute favorite thing is camping and hiking in new places, especially if there is water to swim in!

Thank you for your comment on my page.
For grooming and trimming Marshal's paws I recommend using the 6.5" Curved scissors on our "Grooming Tools" page. They have a blunt-tip for safety, and they work well for trimming between the paw pads.
For removing burrs, you should try one of the Les Poochs brushes...I recommend the Green variety (Wide size and/or Regular size) for Marshal. My doodles also get a lot of burrs...we live in a rural area. The Les Poochs brush removes the burrs and weed seeds quite easily. We also have the Les Poochs Hypoallergenic Shampoo and Creme Rinse available.
