About Me:: Mom with boy/girl twins age 13. I am a Literacy Coach, wife, mother, and proud Mommy of Jake, our goldendoodle who is THE KING of the house!

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: We have a goldendoodle who is 5 years old. His dad was Radar, a toy poodle from Amy Lane. Jake is only 45 lbs and is our pride and joy who is LOVED by all of our adult friends. He rides to school each day and all our friends who drive to school tell us that they look forward to seeing Jake each morning smiling in the front seat!

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: We loved golden retrievers and had one who died suddenly. We built a house and wanted a dog that did not shed plus our son was diagnosed with intermittent asthma. We were going to get a Bermise Mountain Dog and were looking in the paper when we came across the name of goldendoodle. We were so curious that we googled the name, only to find Amy Lane. Next thing we know we are looking at the most adorable photos and reading everything we can about goldendoodles. We put our name in Amy's puppy lottery and waited six months for Jake.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: We love to swin in the pool with him. He is a fish and many times we will find him floating on his raft in the pool and/or swimming up and back in the pool by himself. As long as someone is in the pool, he is there. He goes up the ladder, fetches his ball continually and plays in the pool with the kids not realizing he is not one of them. Everyone who visits is amazed by him! He brings a smile to kids and adults alike! I also love to sleep with him. He cuddles right in with me and we snuggle all night!

First, welcome to Doodle Kisses - this is a great site with a ton on information. Now for the important stuff, I created a group on this site called "Jersey Doodles" so that us fellow NJ doodlers could locate/connect with other doodle owners in our area for romps and get togethers. Back in November a bunch of us (probably about 12 doodles with their humans) met up at Sandy Hook for a day on the beach. A good time was had by all and we are possibly thinking about going this Sunday so I hope you take the time to join Jersey Doodles so you don't miss out on any of the fun.

Samantha & I live in Short Hills but we have spent thepast 6weeks in Florida with DH - a working vacation. We will be back in 10 days.
We are trying to organize a Romp in March at Manasquan Inlet. Please join the Jersey Doodle group so you can get the info. I would love to meet King Jake! He sounds like a great guy - I would also love for him to teach Samantha to swim like that. Where is Tabernacle?
