On this site the photo post and status lines drop off the front page so quickly that few members see them unless they happen to be online. When you are on the main page if you look just below the photo slideshow, you will see your profile and an empty box where you can start a discussion - Like "Happy 1st Birthday Winston@ and post the photo with your little blurb. That way others get to see it and comment. This site is a different than say facebook which uses status lines. If you look at your own page, you will see your name and your point count. You receive points for starting discussions, commenting on others' discussion, adding friends, and downloading photos to your page, etc etc.
