School Counselor. I work with little children. My husband is a software engineer. We live in beautiful Colorado and have 5 children between us. All but one are out on their own.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
Khaleesi is our first and only goldendoodle. Born 4/19/2018. I've had beautiful Golden Retrievers for the past 30 years. Our last golden, Dorey, died at home in Feb. 2018. She was 13 years old.
Khaleesi, aka - PuppyCups, is an only dog and is quite loved and very spoiled. Her mother is an English Golden and her father is a Champion Standard White Poodle. Puppycups has the ears of a golden, the eyes and legs of a poodle, and the coat of some creature from outer space. She is the smartest dog I've ever owned, and somewhat mischievous. I love her so much!
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We have always had Golden Retrievers. We love the personality and hate the shedding. When our last golden, Dorey, passed away, we didn't want to run out and buy a puppy that looked just like her. We wanted her memory to be special, so we looked for doodles.
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Play ball and walk. She loves to do both. She's still quite young, but very smart. She also loves the water. Bath time is a favorite and playing in the sprinklers.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Yes!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
Annie's Groomers will. She doesn't have all her shots yet.
Favorite Doodle Products?
My leveled comb! Brushes don't work with her. She has to be conditioned during her bath and then combed through.

Hi Kristina, welome to DK. Rather than take the taurine deficiency discussion off track by getting into an entirely different discussion on recommendations of food brands there, I've deleted your comment there and am giving you a link to our recommended brands, which can also be found in The Food group. https://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/recommended-dog-food-brands-as-of-january-2016?groupUrl=thefoodgroup&; Nutro is not a recommended brand, as it is owned and made by Mars Inc. We do not recommend any brands owned by the multinational corporations, (Big Dog Food, as we call it) which outsource their ingredients, use unsafe artificial preservatives, vitamins and colorings, and put the share holders' interests above the welfare of the dogs. While the individual formula you use may be perfectly fine, we can't endorse the brand itself. Please do some browsing in The Food Group, lots of good info there. And if you have questions you can always start a new Food Group discussion.
