About Me:

Experienced dog owners but have previously rescued 2-3 year old very mixed breeds. First time rescuing a puppy and first time with a Poodle/Doodle. Huckabee came to us at 15 weeks and is now one year old.)

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

Second generation Golden Doodle. Looks more poodle than GR. Huckabee has been our only dog since October but my daughter and her rescued 3 year old Wire Fox Terrier mix are moving in with us for 9 months while she finishes grad school. They've spent a lot of time together and get along well. When Otis leaves, we'll get another doodle but didn't want to have three dogs in the house this year.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

I'm allergic to dogs and always had to wash/shower after touching our other dogs on top of taking lots of allergy medications, vacuuming etc. I do not react in any way to Huckabee and don't have to wash my hands at all!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Hiking, swimming, tricks, socializing with other dogs and people!

Does your doodle(s) shed?

Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

professional groomer - every two months, we brushed him often when he had longer puppy hair but his mature hair is very poodle like and doesn't mat at tall so we only brush occasionally now.
