If it were my dog, I'd see a dermatologist. My guy has several health issues, and I find the specialists save you a lot of time and grief. (He has 7 of them, lol).
Just one bald patch doesn't really sound like SA. The skin is usually very flaky and greasy. But hair loss from stress is overall, usually not just one patch.

No, my rescue group has dealt with a few cases of SA. It is genetic. What does your vet say?
