My family consists of my husband, a wonderful daughter, and three dogs...a 13 year old miniature Dachshund, an 8 year old miniature Poodle, and an 8 month old Labradoodle.

Our newest family member is an F1b Standard Labradoodle Hudson Reece. He is an apricot cream color with a very soft, wool type coat. Hudson is always happy and smiling. He goes in the car practically everywhere that we go. Hudson just wants to be close to us all of the time.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

We chose a doodle for several reasons. Our daughter wanted a large breed dog that could live in the house with us. I began looking for a large breed with: a gentle dispositionl; minimal shedding; and one that would be smart and highly trainable. I located a breeder in Kansas, DiamondCountryDogs and we have been very pleased. We picked him up at the airport and it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Hold him on my lap in my recliner. Yes - All 64 pounds of him!
Take him for a ride in the car.
Play with him in the snow.

Does your doodle(s) shed?

A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

I try to groom Hudson at home.
