Profile Information

About Me:: I am a married, retired teacher. We've had several dogs in the past, goldens being our last, both lost to cancer. We now have a 5 month golden doodle named Piper.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: Piper is an F2b golden doodle. She came from Lakeshore Doodles near Rochester, NY. She has completed one puppy clicker training class and is enrolled in a second puppy training from a different trainer, not clicker, just for a variety of perspectives. She is mostly well behaved, but is starting to exert her independence.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: We lost 2 Goldens to cancer and couldn't face that again. We opted for no shedding, smaller, a smart poodle mix, and possibly better longevity since she is a (very special) mutt.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: We meet our neighbors, a westy and a water dog, to walk, run, and chase balls. She loves to fetch the tennis ball. We are also teaching her to swim and fetch the ball from our dock. She has been going to doggie daycare once a week and is well socialized, comfortable with all noises, people, and dogs.

Does your doodle(s) shed?: Nope!

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: Claudette's Clippin's
