About Me:

I am a retired German teacher who now spends much of the day with a wonderful, smart, funny 3-year old Labradoodle. I love photography, traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with friends.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!

Buckwheat is half Lab and half standard poodle. He is a very light cream-colored, shaggy dog with the build of a tall Lab, rather than that of a poodle.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

Their faces are so appealing. I knew this hybrid would shed less than a Lab, which is a very good thing. I wanted a big, smart dog and this is a wonderful combination of breeds.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

We walk in the nearby park every morning, rain, sleet, snow or shine, and again in the evening. We spend time during the day outside. He loves to fetch and has a real thing for red rubber balls.

Does your doodle(s) shed?

A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?

I brush him daily, but usually take him to Animal Ark for baths. I leave his hair long.

Favorite Doodle Products?

JB Pets carries a line of great rubber balls, the iSqueak lines. They are durable and "fly" well when thrown, but are soft enough that I know my dog's teeth are safe.
