About Me:

I am 66 yrs young:) and have had a dog since birth as a pet. We have also had a horse, pony, pet rat and cat during our 49 years of marriage. My husband is retired Navy w/ 32 yrs service. We have 2 girls with families of their own and have traveled the world. Most of the pets in our families are rescues . Labs and Shelties. Sweet Pea is the first, that my husband and I picked out ourself and she is an excellent dog with great house manners.

Loose wool, cream and apricot labradoodle named Polly a.k.a. Sweet Pea and a Beta fish named Sushi.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?

Our German Shepard "Taz" a retired police dog passed away. After a few months without a dog, we started researching for a good family dog that doesn't shed, has personality plus . A friend of mind that I was talking to, when I mentioned interest in a doodle (Labradoodle, golden doodle ) said "I have a friend who breeds labradoodles" named Maureen who lives a few miles from you. We arranged a time to meet the fur babies and it was love at first sight. The kennel was amazing, Sweet Pea came to us completely house trained and rings potty bells when she needs to go out. Walks well on leash, loves everyone she meets. Maureen the breeder is a Pro . Our doodle came to us crate trained and slept through the night first night, has great house manners and respects the difference between her toys and our furniture and things. She does like to grab something and parade in front of you, to start up a game of chase though. Great dog, we love her to pieces!

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?

Play chase in the backyard, walk the trails around our neighborhood , swim in our pool and snuggle up together.
