I have three grown children and four grandchildren.
I am a RN working with the geriatric population.
I have many interests, painting(pastels),knitting, reading and I love being at the ocean in Maine.
What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
I have a 15month old Standard labradoodle who weighs about 55 lbs. He is a doll. I am so thrilled with this breed .
His name is Tucker and he is my loyal, funny and sweet companion. He loves to romp with other dogs and I have not found anyone person or Dog that he doesn't go crazy about.
He is cream colored with golden red hightlights.
He has been my inspiration to get up off the couch and move.
I would be lost without him.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
All the research I did, as well as the prospect of being non-shedding. I have had many dogs before including a precious collie ,but I didn't feel like I could deal with all that hair at this point in m life. I never read anything NEGATIVE ABOUT THE BREED and also needed to make sure that my grandkids
would be ok . Of course he absolutley adores them, with a little bit of jealousy of course. He needs to be in the middle of everything!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
walk, car rides, romp with my sisters dogs and cuddle up at the end of the day.
This is a great place to share about doodles. There are many groups that you can join. For example, there are groups for grooming, nutrition, health/medical, types of doodles, puppy groups etc. Look at the top of your page and click on Groups - check them out. Enjoy!
Thank you for the comment about my four doodles. There was not much of a transition period for me when I got my dogs…I actually received three of them at the same time (as puppies - 12 weeks old). It was a big challenge having three puppies in the house! My fourth doodle (Truman) came along 2 years later. By then the others had matured enough to help me train the new puppy….they were great “puppy-sitters”.
If you decide to get another doodle, I think you will discover Tucker will be a big help with training the new puppy.
By the way, I want to thank you for the order you placed on my website. Your items should arrive no later than Thursday 3/25/10.
