About Me:: I recently had to put my 12 1/2 yr old golden retriever, Kirby down. His mind was good but his body just gave out on him. He was the star of our family and was always at my side. One thing I am curious about is what the main difference is between a goldendoodle and a labradoodle. Other than that, I have tried to educate mself about both of them. Kirby was all personality and that is the number one item on our wish list. We also want a male. Larger size is the preference but medium size is ok too. I have begun looking up breeders but it is quite a daunting task.

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: I just spoke of Kirby, we also have Scout, my 11 yr old female golden. She still likes to run and play. I have three cats, Lionheart, an 12 yr old Ragdoll cat. He never paid the dog s any attention, but he was the one wno noticed Kirby wasn't around and was constantly on me for two weeks afterward. Pip is a 5 yr old female pound cat. She would rub up against Kirby a lot on day I caught both her and Kirby with their heads in the toilet getting a drink. I confess, I took a picture. Lastly is Moe, an 8 month old freebie kitten that my husband brought home. She is always swatting at and playing in Scouts tail and she would not only do that with Kirby but she would cuddle up with him. The big dog and the tiny kitten.

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: I have a golden and as a kid I had a poodle. I love the playfulness and dedication of the golden and the intelligence of the poodle. I also like easier maintenance of the doodle coat.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Hoping to take on walks and outings maybe an agility class, take him swimming. Have him hang out with us when we are upstairs relaxing. Attend trainging classes. Have him interact with company.
