Event Description

The Dewey Beach Doodle Romp is an annual event that raises money for "Food For Friends", a charity that provides meals to the terminally ill. It is a weekend event attracting 75+ Goldendoodles and their owners for a relaxing time on the beach. The romp is sponsored by Fox Creek Farm and it is organized by Amy Scott and David Cooper who are proud owners of two Fox Creek Farm Goldendoodles. Lodging information can be found at www.Goldendoodles.net. Please note that vendors/breeders can attend and advertise if they purchase a vendors permit from the Town of Dewey. Any vender/breeder that does not obtain a permit will be asked to leave.
REMINDER: The Romp is one month away! We'll meet on the beach off Saulsbury Street at 9:30 on Saturday, April 24th. Look for information re a cocktail party location, etc. on www.doodlesindewey.com. We have new T-shirts this year and dog toss toys, too. T-shirts will be in unisex sizes only. Interested? Email DoodlesinDewey@verizon.net. Last year we had 80 dogs on the beach.....how many this year?????!!!

Comment by Brenda Boggs on March 5, 2010 at 11:03am: Can't wait for this year's romp. Winston was amazed at all of the dogs that looked like him. Even my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. We had trouble picking out Winston from all of the buff colored doods!!!!!
