Lisa Christensen told me these brushes were designed to get through curly dense coats in the tub while bathing.  However, I tried it on Rosco (who has a thinner, less curly coat) after a bath and it was a very nice tool for the job!  And yes, one lucky doodle, will get the very brush that touched ROSCO!

Lily Grace just had her bath after day camp and she is still covered with hitch hikers. They will brush out when she is dry but I am thinking that the brush will loosen them so they will rinse away while bathing her. I brush her first but can't get all the stuff out of her coat before bathing. Thank you again for a fun contest.

It's not a major detangling brush...not sure it would do a thing for matted hair, but it was nice using it on Rosco while he was damp. It allowed some brushing without the usual snagging.  Didn't try it in the tub on him.

The brush looks like it would be perfect for my daughter's lhasa/poodle guy.  He doesn't mat but boy does he get 'stuff' in his coat that needs to be brushed out.
