Hi all, does anyone have any thoughts on having two dogs versus one? I would like some company for my "lonely during the day", and "quite hyper during the night doodle"...he loves other dogs, and I think it would keep him company through the day. I have asked my friends that have two dogs, and they say they would never just have one...they have been great company to one another.
About the only pro/con that I haven't seen mentioned here is that, at least in my opinion, dogs are more "doggy" when there are multiples. They seem more like people when there is just one. We've had multiple dogs most of the last 30 years, and it seems like I've seen this over and over again. As much as I daydream about a second doodle (they are so irresistible!), I doubt we go for it ourselves because we so love Mater just the way he is.
