2011 Doodle Kisses Calendars Are...

The Doodle Kisses 2011 Calendars are ON THEIR WAY!!! They will be revealed and ready for purchase for yourself and those on your Christmas list Sunday, October 24th!

To celebrate and make things even more exciting we're giving away some excellent prizes to those who purchase a calendar within the first 24 hours they go on sale! You will get one entry in the drawing for each calendar you purchase in the first 24 hours they are announced as available and three of those entries will be randomly chosen for one of the following prizes:

When they are ready they will be in the DK store...but do NOT buy them before we say GO because we may add them to the store before they are officially 'done' and then see extra editing needs. Just FYI in case anyone can't resist. Also working on updating the store with easier access via DK.

Well...it used to have its own tab and ... it will again. But it doesn't matter because you'll all be notified where/when/how on Sunday.

I still have to contact about 19 of you regarding your doodle's appearance in our calendars. The other bazillion have been contacted and have duct tape on their lips.

Yes I will be emailing individuals from the DKCalendars email to whatever email they used to submit photos. Should be done (*crossing fingers*) by tomorrow night.

I wish there was a way to see all of the Doodle photos....unlikely, as there are so many. These dogs are the most beautiful and wonderful dogs. DH and I went to an Oregon Humane Society fund raiser on Sunday, and brought Melody with us. She was such a draw! So many people just surrounded us, wondering if she was available. She was wearing her Thundershirt and was a bit scared, but did well. All of these Doodles are gorgeous!

OK--I think everyone has been contacted whose dood(s) are in this year's calendars. There will be an extra one this year. And still had to leave some cute ones out. Between quality, pixels, right size and shape of photo, how much of the photo the doodle takes up, backgrounds, variety of diff kinds of doods, how it fits with other photos...it's a tough juggle.

Others may have made diff selections, but the picking's done and I appreciate your patience and good will as I had to make such darn hard choices! Thanks everyone and to those who didn't make it this year, keep taking photos (I've already seen some uploaded that caught my eye since the calendar deadline!) and try again next year!

If you feel shaky in your camera/pixels/photography skills...join the DK photography group and learn from some very knowledgeable folks!

I will probably post the "Calendars are Ready" announcement early Sunday morning (I'm on the west coast).
