I don't know why I'm posting this, maybe I figure that you all can understand how I feel. This morning I let my 2 goldendoodles outside to play and when I called them back in, I couldn't find them. We have 6 acres WAY off the road and the only cleared area is immediately around the house. The dogs have a couple favorite spots so I went looking and found Webster but not Charlotte. Charlotte is only 9 wks old and she is missing. I have been searching since 9am and my legs literally ache from the amount of walking I have been doing. My 2 kids, my parents, my sister and 3 other doodles have been searching with me. Now my husband is home from work and he is searching until dark (it's 5:30). We've talked with all the neighbors, driven the local subdivision, called animal control, checked craigslist, and posted a sign. I'm feeling hopeless and miserable. I just lost my grandma and Charlotte went with me to Mich for the funeral - puppy comfort, you know. If you have a doodle puppy, please give him/her a hug for me.
Jennifer we are praying for Charlotte to be safe and come home soon. I am so sorry, I know you must be just sick with worry. Please keep us posted. Sophie and I will be waiting to hear good news.
I'm sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. My cat went missing last month and we were devastated. We checked the shelter everyday, looked all over the place, put out an alert to local animal shelters, vets and people through her Home Again microchip, hung signs all over the neighborhoods and gas stations and even hired a pet detective! Yes, we had tracking dogs follow her scent...down the sewer...not a good sign. But we kept our hopes up (and tracked down maps of our sewer systems, and yelled down the storm drains all over the neighborhood like crazy people) and over a week later, someone from the next neighborhood brought her home after finding her wandering and seeing one of our signs!
So put up lots of signs, keep looking and calling for her, and if she has a microchip, make sure to put out an alert. I hope yoiu find her very very soon!
My two dogs disappeared on the 4th of July because the neighbor was setting off illegal fireworks and it scared them. They broke down the garage door and were gone when we got back from the fireworks. I looked for them all night and could not find them. In the morning, I came home and was resting, hoping for the best. About 2:00 in the afternoon, I got a call from a young boy who lived two miles away. He had got his hands on one of the dogs (who had not lost his collar) and got my telephone number. They were hungry and wanted to eat. I went to pick them up and they were filthy from walking down a creekbed. After their baths, they had a good rest and were very happy to be home. Afterwards, I took the puppy to the vet and got him chipped. He had lost his collar in the creek and if it wasn't for the older dog (poodle), I don't know how I would have got him back. But...hold on there. Your puppy will show up.

Oh I can't imagine... Praying that you find your little gal soon! I definitely snuggled with Hershey tonight and told her very clearly that she must never ever ever run away!!
