Does anyone have any advice on introducing a new puppy into the fold when you already have a 8mth old puppy aswell?

We are picking up our new puppy this week. We are incredibly excited but I just thought it would be good to get some advice from other owners who have brought home a second puppy. How should I go about making the transition smooth for my existing 8mth old puppy? I'd love to hear any advice or stories...

I say you JUST introduce them. Plop puppy in the backyard...let him sniff around and explore for a few minutes and then bring out your 8 month old and let them do their doggy thing. Don't interfere too much.

--Take puppy out for potty alone -- without 8 month old so he is not distracted

--They will probably play hard...young pup will probably bug older pup lots. Don't interfere unless it's driving you crazy. Let them work things out. When it does drive you crazy crate one or both of the pups and let them chill.
