Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I have seen some precious brown labradoodles and australian mini-labradoodles, but I haven't ever seen a chocolate GD. Connor is a really pretty apricot color and I was thinking how cool it would be to have a brown GD, too. I would imagine one brown poodle parent would add that color into the genetic pool....does anybody have one? Thanks. :-)

Yes there are brown GD's. Checkout previous slideshows, there's a whole show of brown doodles, some LD's and some GD's-all beauties!
chocolate goldendoodles DO exist but they are not very common because it is rare for golden retrievers to carry the gene that allows for brown. This breeder sometimes has chocolates: http://muellerswoodvillekennels.com/testimonGoldendoodle8.php

I don't think anyone here has one.
Thanks for the info. I didn't realize the slide shows were archived, so I had a great time going through ALL of them. :-) I also checked out the site from the link -- very pretty dogs. Your quick replies were much appreciated.
Hi, We got our chocolate mini goldendoodle from southerncomfortdoodles.com. We fell in love with her chocolate female named Diva. I’m really glad we went the chocolate route. Hope this helps.
Wow! I didn't realize there are such lovely brown goldendoodles. I know someone here in Richmond who has a gorgeous brown Australian mini-labradoodle and I've seen standard chocolate labradoodles, but these brown GDs are precious! Thank you.
