Dear Members,

1) The DEADLINES for the Doodle Kisses 2009 Calendar have changed to:

Deadline for Photo Submission: October 9 at 9pm PST
Voting will end: Oct 16 at 9pm PST
Calendars will be available for purchase by: Oct 31

We have had to move the submission/voting date about a week early because we will be out of town for the full week before Oct 31st release date. In order to get the calendars out & available to you on time, we will need to wrap up submissions and voting sooner than planned. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes. However, this will keep the ultimate release date on schedule.

2) Update on LOGO CONTEST VOTING THIS HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED AS OF 10-3 at 8:33AM WITH TOP 10 LOGOS--PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VIEW NEW ALBUM: NEW ALBUM
a) VOTING for LOGOS will continue on ALL entries till tonight every night Sunday night at 9pm PST. At that time I will narrow it down to the top favorites. If there is a tie we'll deal with it then. If you have not yet voted for your favorites...PLEASE DO! USE THE STAR RATING SYSTEM by giving high ratings to ones you like and low ratings to ones you don't care for.

b) Tomorrow TOP FAVORITES are posted. and at that time you'll need to choose your top 3 by rating them accordingly to how you feel about them.

c) ANY TIES will be decided by a final vote and I will announce this if a tie breaker is needed.

d) PLEASE keep in mind that a great logo will need to look good even if it is MUCH smaller than the photo size you see now....as the top header of the website is not going to grow much bigger than it is.

e) PLEASE READ voting announcement here and make sure you click on "Contest Rules" at the bottom of the announcement to know the official rules. Sounds more complicated than it is ;-)...I just want everyone to be informed and to not miss anything =)

So, is this to say there may be a logo we're voting for that wouldn't work?

Not necessarily--just something to consider. Erica (not your daughter) also mentioned some things about logos to consider in her response to the previous discussion on this topic. I haven't tried to look at them as if they are in the banner yet. But I will try to show you what the top few will look like AS a banner for the next voting session.

maybe this has been said already, but shouldnt we be looking at the logos in real life size...i mean the 1-2 inch size it will be on the header??? That might make it easier for us unimaginative people to see how it would look.
