Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

My subscription to Dog Fancy is nearing its end (purchased to support a local elementary school). I've enjoyed having a magazine about dogs, but this magazine is really for AKC folks. Any time they have a picture of a doodle, they just call it a mixed breed. They don't really say anything nasty about doodles, but I just thought I'd see if there are any better magazines out there. Any suggestions?

I agree about Dog Fancy...it's pretty light and fluffy (I still skim through though!) and heavily biased toward pure breeds. I like Bark magazine...I don't subscribe but read it at the bookstore. I've heard a lot of people like Whole Dog Journal--seems to be the one that does all those dog food ratings and updates. Some cities also have regional magazines. Seattle has a nice one called "City Dog" and it's distributed through WA state at least.
I get Bark, City Dog out here in Seattle had an article that was not very nice about Doodles. Plus I paid my subscription and only got 2 magazines sent to me. Maybe it was the email I sent them about their negative article. IDK I was nice in my email I just pointed out the falsehoods the author wrote.
In Bark they have a "your dog smiling" page I see at least 2-3 doodle every time. Doodles love to smile.
My name is Karan and I am a dog magazine addict. I subscribe to Bark, Fido Friendly, and Wag (which has ceased publication). I also get about 10 dog-oriented catalogs in the mail.
I like Fido Friendly because I travel a lot with Nick, and that is its focus.
I like "Bark" magazine.
I hate Dog Fancy...they have had articles that promote "doodle bashing" and I have been so angry at some of their encouragement of hatred towards mixed breeds. I would never buy Dog Fancy...no matter how great other articles are.
