I do know one doodle who does this and quite well, but her family has been busy and I haven't been able to reach her to join us here. I think she used to have a website called: sammydoodle.tripod.com -- not sure if it still works.
Great. Well that is one of the reasons we adopted a Labradoodle--my husband first wanted a Lab, but I wanted to stick with the non shedding that I had been use to with our older dog:)
Both the lab and the poodle are hunters, so we are hoping it works out, but would like to talk to people who do hunt. Giada already retieves very well. Thanks!
Yes, I agree. You know just yesturday when I googled hunting with Labradoodles someone posted on a site that these are not a breed at all and any "good" breeder would not breed a mutt!!! It was an old post, so I could not reply:(
I was just looking at stuff in back forums on hunting because of your suggestion. Found this and just wanted to say this is so-so true. As much as I'd like to see the doodle recognized in AKC - I think they'd ruin him(her). I think we're good as we are. We just really need to get to word out as to how good these dogs truly are. The price of a "mutt" really scares people away. My friends keep saying "and you paid that for basicaly a "mutt". BUT IT'S A BETTER DOG. When will people get it.
