Does your Dood like the heat?

I am curious to know how your dood’s do in the heat. I know Stella hates the heat, even as a tiny puppy in winter I wanted to keep her warm on the ride home. She quickly let me know she didn’t like it that warm and that she preferred a cooler temp in the car…. even cooler than I keep it and I hate the heat too! I keep Stella’s coat short in hopes that she won’t get so hot. But, I was wondering if others doodles have the same dislike for the heat?

The way I got Stella to enjoy her pool was by throwing treats in to the bottom. She is such a found hound and will do anything for a treat. Before I knew it she was in there dunking her head under the water, flipping water, digging at the water, flopping in the water, barking at the water and at me when I splash it around. In general acting like a little kid. Perhaps if Jack is a treat fiend it might help him to see it is fun and not bath time.

My two, Molly & Cole, don't like the heat either unless they are in their pool or wet! They love to sleep on the cool tile floors. They only use their bed mats in the winter. Molly's new favorite place to sleep is in our tiled shower.........Smart one!

Samantha, my LD, really hates the heat and loves to lay on the cool tile. After a mile walk in the heat, she's totally wiped out. Willie, my GD, tolerates it much better and won't lay anywhere except beside me, even if he's hot.
