We're baaaaaaaaaaaack. Back to the awful truth of how doggy my house smells (you never quite realize it till you've been gone a while...blech!)
To me my doggies seem quite well behaved and tolerable. But we heard the TRUTH last night from our dog sitter upon arriving home. Our friend, Nate, stayed at our house to care for our three and I think he's pretty sick of dogs by now! For me Rosco just a sweet cuddle bug, responsive to commands, sweet, well behaved, etc.
Of course because I love him I can forget about/ignore (mostly) all the annoying things he does so I really forget he does them...until I hear it from others.
Poor Nate ...he had to put up with 3 hours of Rosco barking starting at midnight on Sat night--Rosco doesn't do this when we are home, but that might be because he sleeps on the floor of our bedroom.
Nate brought home a tennis ball thinking he was doing a cool thing...only to have Rosco hoard it and destroy it. He also wouldn't come in when called--but luckily Nate figured out all he had to do was lift the lid of his food container and voila...sprint recall!
He had a couple over as guests one day and Thule freaked out the woman by slurping on her toes, while Cass showed off her high pitched "I don't know you strangers!" bark. At least the couple liked Rosco for being "soft." LOL
It's hilarious and sad all at once. I can take Rosco with me just about anywhere and know he won't pull or jump on people and he'll be polite and sit for petting. But sheesh...leave him with someone else and apparently he's quite the pest!
***I FORGOT to mention...while we were gone...Nate MOWED OUR LAWN--without us asking...so he's a good guy!
Yes, but I'm always a little sad when others don't also see them thru Rose Colored Glasses--they can be annoying as all get out...but I forget because I love them all!
Thankfully we have a great ozone machine that we ran to get rid of the doggy smell...phew!
It sounds like your doodles had their own fun with Mom and Dad gone!!
They are like human children, I remember dreading to hear the babysitter report when my kids thought they could make up new rules.
Welcome Back...those fur kids have to be thrilled to have you home!!
(we missed you here too!!)
Max and Peanut have a hayday with my fiance DAVE if i am not home, he can't leave them alone lately or they'll do things like eat mail, countersurf, etc
when i am home this doesn't happen, i can leave my plate of food out and say do NOT touch
they don't.....DAVE is missing a few steak subs recently hahhaaaaaaaaaaaa
LOL. It's not quite that bad here. It's just that Nate doesn't love them AND he doesn't know their commands and how to enforce.
After feeling bad about Nate not liking my dogs too much I remembered how many compliments they usually get and how my non-dog lover mom is in love with them and I felt better =)
