Great pics!!! Maya wakes up from her nap to greet me at the door with a present. She grabs whatever toy is closest and brings it to the door to give to me when I walk in. If there are no toys on the floor (cause I cleaned them up) she will just wait by the door. If I ask where my present is she will look around for the closest object she can find and bring it to me.
Louie does this, too! In fact, this is such a habit for him that we have a toy box filled with his toys near the door. Otherwise, he'll grab anything he can find, and more often than not, it's not something he should be grabbing!
At the door;( the little one is my nephews dog who is staying with us right now side note he ate my couch today. Not happy with him cant wait till wednesday when he goes home.)
This is what I see when I drive up( Payton has a rash on his belly that is why he is wearing the shirt) Jordan is in the window too you just cant see her.
Do you know what the rash is from? Louie had a real bad rash on his underside for months, until we finally got it diagnosed. We first thought it was insects, then a food allergy, but we took him to a doggie dermatologist/allergist, got him tested and found he is allergic to almost everything! grass, trees, flowers, dust, etc. We treated him with prednisone to get it under control, now he takes Atopica (cyclosporin), he's down to every three days, but it took us months to get his allergies under control. Our allergist/dermatologist told us that she sees a lot of these types of allergies in doodles in Florida.
Payton is allergic to everything too.The vet says Dalmatians are prone to it.I need to get in to the Vet for a cycle of prednizone or is it prediazone or I am just spelling totally wrong.
My Vet is cool so she might just write up the Rx for me. He is forever at the Vet for his anal glands or allergies. More so now that he is 11.
Since he was puppy, we have dealt with it. I am thinking this outbreak is from him going to my father in-laws house and he got into something there.
Fleas are especially bad for him and grasses. I am careful who I let him play with.
I use this cream that my Cousin makes for people with eczema, I always try that 1st and if that does not help I take him in. Sometimes that works with the shirt. Anything to keep him from itching, he does not have the corn chip smell, that is a major flare up sign.
are your dogs left outside by themselves? If so, for how long? We have left Cayenne out while we've run to the store for a short, short trip but are more likely to put her in her crate inside for anything over 1/2 hour. I worry about leaving her outside (she loves being out there though). Am I being overly worrisome?
Clark works from home mostly so when I come home and see the doodles through the fence it is because he's home--they don't otherwise get left outdoors. They've spent maybe an hour or two outside alone, but someone is always home when we do that. I think the only time we were gone and left them in the yard it was for 20 minutes or something short like that. Cass has stayed outside overnight in the past--and Thule did once when she had the runs. They were fine.
Oh, those little faces are abolutely charming! When I come home, Finny does this funny little goose-march to show how happy he is. His front legs are all straight like sticks and he struts. Then he goes to his toy-box, all wriggly and excited, and returns with his 'welcome home' offering, the mankiest piece of pig's ear or some other such treat, which is dropped at my feet!
I forgot to mention...that if, upon entering, Rosco hasn't yet had supper...he'll be leaping and bounding to heights worthy of an "Air Doodle" award and proceed to bark scoldingly at me because I allowed him to get to his current level of hunger. He almost never barks AT me except when I come home at supper time.
