When I became "serious" about getting Rosco trained I had a couple false starts. I was using an excellent program, but Rosco was my first dog and I wasn't very confident and needed the help of a trainer. I asked a lot of questions online on a training list I belonged to but it just wasn't coming together. That's when Dan Salb offered to mentor me--from the other side of the USA! Via video tape, telephone and email he was an invaluable resource in helping me train Rosco according to the program I was committed to following.
Dan is patient yet challenges you to think and work hard. He's a talented trainer and a very good teacher.
He has turned around some tough dogs and recently had a goldendoodle in board & train that he had nothing but rave reviews about. He told me that this particular goldendoodle was one of his favorite dogs to train and was impressed with his intelligence and willingness to work.
I highly recommend Dan to anyone who wants a superbly trained dog =)
I know this is an old review, but I just saw it. Do you know if Dan Salb is still working as a trainer? The web site is no longer there, and I didn't come up with anything when I googled him.
