A "Chance" Sighting

When I joined DK I never imagined it would lead to  a growing "bucket list" of interesting DK people and doodles I'd want to meet in person.  People who would become great friends and doodles whose personalities make you smile through their pictures -- and even more in person :)  

I had to cancel out on the the Cancun Doodle trip :( because of a family commitment to go to the West Coast but I didn't leave the bucket list behind.  My son was a bit skeptical about this adventure :) as he is about most of my ideas lol

But Laurie and I had met fellow photographer DJ last summer in PA. We said we'd get together in California.  Time was limited, but DJ and I  did catch up for brunch at an outdoor cafe on the Bay.  And imagine how exciting it was when DJ pulled up with little Chance!  Ok, so there was no stuffed giraffe (you PG people know what I'm talking' about), but OMD…What a sociable, happy, funny little guy!  While we drank mimosas, Chance charmed everyone .  He was a Welcoming Committee of one!  And of course you know we had cameras! Great to meet you, Chance and to see you, again, DJ (and thanks for braving the traffic with Obama, the playoffs, and DreamForce in town).

Well, of course I share your sentiments completely. And my son did call when Laurie and Doris came to my house to make sure they were not Internet ax murderers : ) It's all amazing. Great pictures. I love them especially that great 1st picture of Chance.

LOL, I told Cheryl's son that story!  I believe he told Cheryl after I left,  "How did you meet someone so nice on a dog website"?  Ha, I was on my best behavior.

Haha! I remember that :)  Good thing he met DJ before Laurie (especially if she's sporting her clown nose) LOL! I'm safe saying that right! They're all in Cancun having a 24/7 party!! (and I'm so jealous :)

Cheryl,  it was great to connect again and I was so glad I happened to be in San Francisco with my little doodle while you were there.  You are right--Mr. Chance was a little social butterfly, which, thank goodness, allowed the two of us and your charming son to drink our mimosas!
