A "Chance" Sighting

When I joined DK I never imagined it would lead to  a growing "bucket list" of interesting DK people and doodles I'd want to meet in person.  People who would become great friends and doodles whose personalities make you smile through their pictures -- and even more in person :)  

I had to cancel out on the the Cancun Doodle trip :( because of a family commitment to go to the West Coast but I didn't leave the bucket list behind.  My son was a bit skeptical about this adventure :) as he is about most of my ideas lol

But Laurie and I had met fellow photographer DJ last summer in PA. We said we'd get together in California.  Time was limited, but DJ and I  did catch up for brunch at an outdoor cafe on the Bay.  And imagine how exciting it was when DJ pulled up with little Chance!  Ok, so there was no stuffed giraffe (you PG people know what I'm talking' about), but OMD…What a sociable, happy, funny little guy!  While we drank mimosas, Chance charmed everyone .  He was a Welcoming Committee of one!  And of course you know we had cameras! Great to meet you, Chance and to see you, again, DJ (and thanks for braving the traffic with Obama, the playoffs, and DreamForce in town).

It was fun J! Happy that (thanks to Laurie) you and I got to meet! That was fun too!  We've got to start saving our pennies, nickels and dimes for Yosemite.  Maybe a sandwich sale ;)

He is, isn't he!  He won over my son (who wants a Chance look-alike now - poor Finn :) and I even got a couple of Chance "kisses."

Chance was flattered to think that he might have a distant cousin look alike one day owned by Finn's mom!  Finn is one of his favorite virtual friends.

Thanks Carol!  love that one too --it seems my son does have some talents I didn't know about lol although I wish I'd taken off my sunglasses :) I wear them so much out and about I didn't even think of it :)
