I know that you all already know I am nuts so there is no use in trying to hide it now. I am wanting to plan some sort of Easter Egg hunt for the dogs in my neighborhood. I think I am going to do the same thing I did for Jack's birthday and ask for people to either donate money or bring a decent quality bag of dog food.

I need ideas though. I was thinking I would get those plastic eggs and fill them with some yummy stinky dog treats... Thing is, I don't know if they will actually get hurt, choke on or not get the idea at all. I am thinking of doing it the day before Easter.. Having dog treats and human treats as well as Little Easter baskets with dog treats in it.

Does anyone have any ideas I can do, one, to raise more money for shelters, two, for fun and games and  good old fashion romp????

It is going to be a quiet Easter here. Just my mom and I, so I thought that would be  a fun thing to do.

Any ideas?

You can do the Easter egg hunt with treats inside the plastic eggs; when the dog picks one up, you take it from him, with lots of praise, ("Good boy! Did you find an egg? Let's see what you've got inside here!")  and open it for him.

And if it sounds like I've had personal experience with a doggy egg hunt, I have. But I wasn't the one who hosted it, lol.

We do the Easter egg hunt with Comiskey & Beemer every year....we use the plastic eggs....they find one....pick it up (not very gently)...it pops open and they eat the treat....and move on...it is amazing how fast they learn!
Sounds fun, if you use the plastic eggs you can get it from them right away and treat them, as long as you have enough help.Good luck, you have such a big heart!!

I am really excited to do this... I can't wait... I love the ideas, Thanks guys!!!
