Ads in discussions

Just curious...does everyone have the same ads come up when they are looking at a particular discussion?  I mean, if I am in one of my discussions and one of the ads pops up, if another person is also looking at my discussion are we both seeing the same ad?

Well, right now the ad I see up there in your discussion is for Bed Bath & Beyond. Is that what you see?

Nope, I see an ad for a website service.  The reason I am asking is that I was just in my discussion about the grooming episode and the ad that popped up on my page was for the groomer I was posting about!!!!  Talk about creepy......

Somewhere, buried deep in DK is a discussion where you can find a link to get Google to stop stalking you.

Dk searches can be tedious as you know. If you're willing to use Google Chrome this might work for you.

THANK YOU!  I do use Google Chrome and just followed the directions to permanently opt out of online ad personalization.  It will be interesting to see the difference.  Thanks, again.

And every time you come back to a discussion, it's different. Now it's advertising for various dog-related websites.

I just checked back on my other discussion and the ad that is in my discussion changed but there is still an ad for the groomer on the right hand side of the page.  Will investigate this "no google stalking" link tomorrow.

It really gives me the creeps, the way they track you on-line. Just before I came back here, I looked at an email notifying me that an order I placed with Entirely Pets had shipped. Now the ad in this discussion is for Entirely Pets.
