AKC mixed breed program
Has anyone registered their dog in the AKC mixed breed program? I was very skeptical of it at first, but I just did a search for events on the AKC website and found many clubs that are actually holding AKC companion events starting this February. Are there any negatives about registering in the mixed breed program? Noah has his therapy dog title and I want to get a "title" on Sherlock and was thinking we could start AKC rally obedience or regular obedience in the next few months since it appears that several clubs near us will be hosting these events.

There may be clubs holding events...but unless it is a mixed breed event, my understanding is mixed breeds can't compete.

Cool. Our local club is too small and not enough interest in a mixed breed event...they only have an annual conformation/obedience show and a few non-competitive things for the community, but interest is low in a mixed breed obedience event so far.

WOW thanks, there are alot listed near or not too far from me in Pa. Will check it out. I am interested in rally. We do that at our monthly dog club meetings.
