I am in need of being distracted and keeping busy.... I have netflix and the ability to download just about any book that is available...

I can't get out and drive on my own right now so I can't get to the library or things like that.....  I am bored in between treatments and I was wondering what your favorite dog book or movie was.

I read the Temple Grandin (spelling sorry) Animals make us human and it was interesting.  Since I am about all things Jack I would love to watch a good movie and read some books.... Educational books, training books, food books, novels but for the love of God do not recommend Hachi that movie almost put me in respiratory failure I cried so hard.. LOL

Thanks for any ideas.......I tried to look on the internet about raw feeding as I am doing that and I found some groups but apparently since I am doing commercial raw and ground I am "not doing it right so I am not accepted"   Seriously.. that is funny.... truly.......

" The Art of Racing in the Rain" Is one of my favorite animal/ dog stories. In fact, our Enzo is partly named after the dog who narrates the story.

I actually read that book... When I was in the hospital in CO my nurse told me to read that book, it was cute..... and one of the very few books I have read.

The movies K9 and K911 with Jim Belushi are among my very favorite ever, and everyone I've recommended them to has loved them, from kids to grandparents. (The third movie in the series K9 PI is nowhere near as good, but it's not horrible either.)

Not big on dog books, but there's one story in the Bark Anthology Dog Is My Co-Pilot that's one of my all time favorite pieces of literature in the entire world: "Ten Things My Dog Taught Me That Made It Possible For Me To Get Married" by Pam Houston. Beautiful, beautiful writing, and that doesn't even seem like an adequate way to describe it.  And both the movies and the story are  upbeat.

Oh, and "Pet Food Politics: The Chihuahua In The Coal Mine" by Marion Nestle.

Thank you so much!!!! I am going to get those movies and books!     and Upbeat movies right up my ally!  I can't wait to let you know how I liked them......

Thanks again

UNBELIEVABLE Both those movies are available right now for Netflix stream!!! Yay.. I just got plans for the weekend!!! GO me... who needs to go out!!!!    I am going to start  K9 now.. anyone who gets streaming Netflix can add it to their instant que and watch when they have time.....

Yay, hope you like them as much as I do!

I really hope this link works... I had to pause the movie to show this.. This was from the beginning of the movie and Jack's reaction.. He settled down.. I am LOVING this movie and am laughing so hard between when Jerry Lee makes puppies and his constipation issue or more like when it resolved..

SO FUNNY and just what I needed....

I will watch this one tonight and part two tomorrow.. I am laughing and my spirits picked right up.

I think that's the third one of the series, K9 PI.  I'm glad you're enjoying it, but that's my least favorite, and you're watching the last one first, lol.

Oh NO... LOL well I am enjoying it.. I am not sure how I did that.... but it is so funny...... It is K9 P1 you are good..... I am going to start over and try to watch the first one first.. leave it to me to go backwards...

Just checked they have K911 and K9 PI no plain K9 but I will order it on amazon movies.....I love the PI one I can't imagine how much I am going to love the first and second one..
I rented k9 on amazon movie rentals so I have all three..I want to watch them in order so I am going to wait till tomorrow being it is 1250 am here.. Movie marathon for me tomorrow!

That's really a much better way to do it, because you see the relationship between them develop if you start at the beginning.
