Allergies

I know the Doodles are generally hypoallergenic to others, my goldendoodle has been diagnosed with multiple allergies. Is this common?

Actually there are quite a few doodle owners here on DK whose doodles have allergies.  What type of allergies/or what diagnosis does your doodle have exactly and how old is your goldendoodle?

 

(however, no dog is actually 'hypoallergenic' to others...that's mostly a myth).

Roz, I'm assuming from your mention of "multiple" allergies that your doodle has been diagnosed with Atopic Dermastitis, or Atopy. We have a support group here on DK for owners of dogs with A.D. Please join us:

In addition to Adina's comment about no dog being hypoallergenic, many of our doodles shed heavily and are not even allergy friendly. And dogs who themselves have allergies are even more likely to affect people with allergies.
