Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello! My doodle has recently started sneezing a lot, she has a drippy nose, and she has had a couple of bouts of reverse sneezing. We live in Florida, and we are experiencing lots of juniper, bayberry, and oak pollen in the air. She is also shedding her coat like crazy! (That is on another post...)

Is is common for doodles to have allergies to these pollens? Should I take her in to see the vet, or is there a home treatment I could give her? Benadryl?

Lots of doodles have seasonal allergies, but the symptoms aren't sneezing or runny noses like humans; instead, they itch, intensely. And it's very rare for a dog to develop seasonal allergies before the age of 2 or 3.

It sounds like your dog may have an upper respiratory infection. I'd have the vet check her out.

I commented about the shedding in your other discussion. It's most likely not related to the upper respiratory symptoms.
