Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We are planning on going to San Diego next week, camping at San Elijo.  We had initially thought about leaving our 5 month old labradoodle Roxy home with my mom- but the more we think about it, the more we wonder if we should bring her.

The camp ground is pet friendly and today I looked up and saw that LegoLand has kennels. Copied from LegoLand website..

" Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the Park. However, our outdoor shaded kennels are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis (located close to the Park entrance). Park guests should bring their own pet supplies, i.e. water/food dish, etc. Please stop by Guest Services upon arriving at the Park to sign up for the kennel and to receive your key. Please note that the kennel area is not supervised by Park personnel."

I am not sure what I think.  Not quite sure if we should bring her with us or not -all just riding on the Lego Land thing.  Has anyone used an amusement park kennel before?  Was it similar in operation?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've never heard of this before, but I wouldn't leave my dog there, especially a 5 month old puppy. I doubt very much that the park verifies that the dogs are UTD on immunizations, and they could be carrying anything...worms, fleas, other parasites, kennel cough, and the list goes on.
Will you be tent camping? We have camped at San Elijo often, but since we have an RV, we leave our guys in that in the parking lots and go out to check on them.
