I have seen so many people bringing the too young to be out yet puppies inside or near the dog park. There is a reason the vets say to wait until they have had their 2nd set of shots.

This was Kramer. He crossed the Bridge this morning.

Kramer was a 7 month old stray in the shelter in  Loudon, TN that Linda Rudder was was going to foster. Linda and her husband were just about to leave to go and get him when she was finally able to get through to the shelter on the telephone to let them know she was on her way.

They gave her devastating news - Kramer was barely breathing when the staff came in this morning so they euthanized him. They believe it was Parvo of all things! He was fine yesterday tho he did vomit a couple of times but they thought it was the stress of the shelter and the new food. He was playing ball and a typical happy-go-lucky doodle puppy.

I am so sorry that Kramer didn't have a chance to live the life like our Doodles do. I am so sorry that the people in his life before he was found didn't give him that chance by getting him vaccinated.

Please tell anyone you see that has their too young to be out yet puppy about Kramer.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.

His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.

Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Author unknown...

Kramer - although you and I never officially met, I will be your 'special someone'. You are in my heart!

RIP, Kramer!

What a tragic story. Bless you, little Kramer.
