Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

A few weeks back, I had met a lady who knew someone who needed to rehome their Labradoodle.  I was so excited because I have been wanting to foster :)  I gave her all of my information along with this site and Doodler Rescue Collective Inc.

Well it has been a few weeks, so I assume the owner found a home for the doodle.......don't get me wrong, I am happy they found a home for the doodle, but saddened that we did not have a chance to foster.

That was really great of you Holly to want to be a foster Mom to this dog.....there will be others I'm sure.

Holly, here is one right down the street from you. Brand new listing. Probably came in yesterday.  It is not a poodle, but does look like a doodle. Check out the tail.

Go get this one!  Summit County Kill Shelter.

This one is so SWEET looking :)

This guy has been on the listings two weeks   :(   Richland County Dog Warden.

His owner went to jail. Looks as if the doodle has to go to jail too

Good Luck. Hope you do get a chance.  So many out there....

Opps. Here is the listing for Richland County

I think he is adorable.  Here are more pictures.

So Joanne.......for either one.......I am not looking to adopt as they have them advertised.......how do I get it for Doodles Collective Rescue???  Either one would be fine, but Harley really looks like Bear and with my husband's allergies......he would be better......but then at the same time, I feel so bad for the other :(

Don't know. You would have to contact the DRC, let them know you have found a doodle you would be able to foster, show them this listing, and ask beforehand.

They would have to okay it as far as I understand.  You could also contact IDOG.  Whichever rescue is your choice.  Or, there are local rescues in our area who would also  help.. maybe. If they are not full to the GILLS in dogs

You just have to do some of the prep work  yourself.

The problem rescues have is there are not enough Foster Homes.  So, if this is what you are offering, you found a dog, let the rescue know your intent and then begin to work with them

The rescue has to pull the dog, and first Jacquie or Jeannine would need some information. having a foster home ready to take him would help a lot, though.

I sent the info to Jacquie.

Thank you Karen :)  I appreciate it :)

I sent the info to Jacquie on Thursday and someone from DRC contacted that shelter.   Harley (the dog in the picture above)  has an application pending but if that falls through then they will contact DRC.
