Anemia at 5 months

Hi! Our Stanley went in to be neutered today. The procedure went well. But, his blood work indicates that he is slightly anemic.  The vet said normal levels are about 35-55, and Stanley is at 33.  

Anyone have experience with this?  We will ask more questions when we go in to pick Stanley up from the surgical center, and we have an appt. to repeat the blood test in a month. 

Our previous dog was anemic, and it turned out to be a symptom of his cancer. So ... hearing anything about anemia in Stanley is particularly worrisome for us. 

I'll rely on our vet for medical advice; I am just hoping to hear from others who may have experienced this.
