Has anyone dealt with or heard of Autumn's Elite Goldendoodles in NC? I did a search on DK and nothing came up-nothing at all :/

I emailed and she said they do OFA testing, I'm waiting to hear back about getting copies of the reports and also to find out if they have a guarantee and contract.

I appreciate any feedback, via PM of course.

Thanks!

The website provides no information at all on health testing and doesn't provide the health warranty either. But the prices are way below what other truly reputable breeders are charging for GDs of all generations, which makes me a little suspicious. I would make sure you actually see copies of health testing (and check the ages of the dogs at the time of testing), guarantee, contracts, etc.

Yes, I would not move ahead without seeing documentation. The reason I've not chosen some of the supposedly reputable breeders with tons of info on their website is because they are breeding dogs too young and with OFA hip prelims of fair. I know there are no guarantees but I really don't think it is wise to breed large dogs with OFA fair, I think they should wait until the 24 month check and then breed only if results are at least "good."

I know that GANA says differently but I don't agree. I don't agree with a lot of governing and/or oversite agencies ;)

Legal isn't necessarily ethical....just because you can doesn't mean you should!

I agree completely.

look for a small family breeder who has no more than 1 or 2 litters a year.  anyone requiring that you neuter before the first heat or earlier than full bone development is strictly in it for the money!  ask a vet!

Here's our Maggie on her 1st Birthday.

What a sweet face! Is she from the same breeder?

yes
