Another grooming question!

I have a Goldendoodle (we call him a Goodle)  who seems to have inherited the Poodle fur.  What tools do I need to groom him? I don't want the fluffed out like a show dog look, I love his curls!!  He's 5 months old, black, and very sweet!

You may love the curls but if you don't brush and comb them, he will probably develop mats close the the skin. Once you brush them and they are poofy, you can spritz them with water or finishing rinse. You need a slicker brush (the quality depends upon the difficulty of your dog's coat) and a steel graduated toothed comb.
