Why would you get a dog when your apartment will not allow dogs?? I just don't understand? Were you not going to take the dog outside to go potty? I know small dogs can be house trained but what about walks, vet, socializing? I think they set them selves up for failure. Sad !
I feel bad for them. Think they should have thought twice before getting her.
Again, this stinks of deceit.
I agree, Lisa.
I was just reading that our local shelter is having an adoption event, and they are requiring proof of home ownership or written permission from the Landlord (which they then validate) before accepting any potential adopters. After seeing this (if it is even true), that makes perfect sense to me. Getting this puppy under these circumstances was just irresponsible and so unfair to the dog.
The irresponsibility of people never ceases to amaze me anymore. Talk about no thought process on this one. They're lucky they have a week to find her a new home; sometimes animals can be cause for immediate eviction, or given a much shorter time to rehome the pet.
I've never had a female, but it seems early to have a dog spayed in her 3rd month. Or is it ok? I've always neutered my boys around 5-6 months. At least she got the dog spayed though...
Doodles are often spayed before they go home as pups, I.E. at 8 weeks or so.
Ok, thanks for clarifying!
Our breeder, under the recommendation/approval of the vet medicine program at the University of California, Davis, spays or neuters all pups before they go to their families. They've found that the recovery time is amazingly short and that there are few complications. We were very happy to not have to deal with spaying Sedona as a 6-month-old (cone, forced inactivity, etc.).
That pic of the crate looks like a puppy mill to me. I don't think this is really someone who got caught with a dog in the apartment. It's a bad breeder.
