Certainly does not look like a Lhasa.
I can't get a feeling for Lavern's size from the photo, but the muzzle seems too long to be a lhasa (I grew up with lhasas and shi-tzus) and she seems kind of big. She looks somewhat doodley, but she also reminds me of my parents' current dog Shaggy, who is a tibetian terrier.
She's listed as "small" on the rescue's website. I think she's a lhasa-poo or shih-poo. Could be a Tibetan terrier mix, too.
Agreed....probably a terrier-poodle or small breed-poodle mix
doodle's can't be "small" ? Mine are.
They can be small..but typically the doodles in shelters are larger than small.
I was just replying to Frannie's comment about not being able to tell her size from the photo. Didn't mean it wasn't possible that a small dog could be a doodle, lol.
But Adina's correct that it's rare to find mini-doodles (under 20 lbs, which is the usual Petfinder guide for the description "small") in shelters.
I agree ...Looks like a Tibetan Terrier....Classic Tibetan markings and color......
PS..I've also seen cockapoos with these markings....
So cute! I don't know.... looks a lot like TORI - face and size wise... and SHE'S a doodle. My friends have Lhasas and their noses are much more stunted. But if Laverne is half poodle... maybe that's where the longer nose comes from...
She looks A LOT like my cousins dog who is a mini-poodle and portugese water dog. He is pretty small to - around 18lbs last I heard and he is a little over a year now. I will see if I can find a photo to compare.
She looks like my Starlit
