Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello! I'm new to the blog! We just added a labradoodle to our family, and we love her so much!
She came from a litter of 9, with a yellow lab mom, and a standard poodle dad. She had the shortest coat in the litter, so she doesn't really look like what I would consider a labradoodle. She definitely has the lab look! She has some long hairs all through out her soft coat, and she has longer tufts of hair on the ends of her ears, on her chest, and on the backs of her legs. She also has some whispy hairs on each side of her chin. Her ears are also longer than her littermates.
Do any of you have some predictions on how she might look when her adult coat comes in?
Thanks! Looking forward to learning more about the breed!

Congratulations, she's darling! I think she will likely look very retrieverish. There's a great group here called "Where's the Poodle in my Doodle" and you can see other pups that stayed more retrieverish looking. She might have some wisps, but I don't think she'll get a full thick coat and probably a minimal beard.
Thanks! I will check out that group. : )
Congrats on your new puppy. I agree more on the retriever side, and super cute!
: )
She looks like she is going to take more after her mama. She is a cutie.
That is something you would never guess.
I LOVE the ear tips and wisps along her jawline. I wonder if they will stay. I hope so.
I hope those stay too! And, I hope she stays soft...
