Every time my daughter practices her cello, Benny stops what he's doing, points his little nose in the air and howls along! It's the cutest thing--I really think he enjoys the music--his tail is wagging and he gets as close to the living room gate (where she practices) as he can. I've never heard him howl at anything else, not even music on the radio, just that cello. Anyone else have a musical doodle?

Awwww..... very cute.  He is her back up singer!

I don't have a musical doodle, but I used to have a musical cocker spaniel growing up.  She would sit underneath my bedroom window and howl when I practiced my flute.  Im sure it had NOTHING to do with my lack of skill... ; )

Not exactly musical, but Echo howls when she hears a fire engine/police car siren.  Maybe that's common?  Benny is darling!

That's so interesting.  My Murphy cries/howls every time I play the piano.  I have always assumed that it was hurting his ears, so I now only play when my husband has him out on walks.  I guess I need to research this a little more.

Our 4 year old Sydney sings (cool kind of howl) at the end of the trumpet introduction to 'Sunday Morning' on the TV.  I think he chooses the end sounds to join in because it is a higher pitch.  So cute, sometimes we replay the introduction just to hear him sing again.
