Has anyone tried Costco's flea & tick control product. Are you finding it works? Here in NJ Costco sells Frontline Plus for $37 &  the Costco equivalent is $20.

Nope but I bought the generic online. I'll probably get to it in about a month since I do plan ahead : )

I won't be needing more for another 5-6 weeks - just used the last of the frontline plus. I like to plan ahead too :)

I'm using a generic here and it's working fine.  The vet actually sold it to me.

Good to know & nice that your vet is the one who recommended it!

We recently had a discussion here about someone's doodle becoming lethargic after using the Walmart version of Frontline:

It is made in India as opposed to being made in France, as Frontline is.

I don't know the name of the Costco product, so I couldn't check out where it's made.

I'm not sure of the name or where it is made & they don't have it listed on their website. I'd have to check next time I go there.

But a single swallow does not make a spring or some such thing. If we see a number of problems I'd take notice. Many of the drugs we take are made in all kinds of places, that doesn't thrill me but...

What size package (and weight range) costs $37 and $20? Is that for a 3 pack?

I was thinking that sounds very expensive. One months Frontline Plus here is 13 euro and the one the vet sold me was 10 euro for one month.  It's cheaper to buy in packs of three but I wanted to try it first before I went for the three pack which is 27 euro. (not sure of the $ conversion)

I'm don't know the conversion either, but Costco's price of $37 for the 3 pack of Frontline Plus is pretty good & if the Costco brand is the same product as the Frontline then the $20 is even better ;)

The frontline plus was for a 3 pack - 45-88 lbs (purple box).  I think the costco brand was also a 3 pack & same weight range.

I'm so nervous about using these products anyway, I just don't feel comfortable using something for which I can't verify the quality control, especially if it's made in Asia. Merial has been around a long time, and the European manufacturing standards are very strict. It does sound like a good savings, but it still only comes to less than $6 a month. I buy the 12 packs, and the cost per dose is less than the 3 or 6 packs, so there is a savings there, but I'd be afraid to use anything new. That's just me, and I also have an immune-compromised dog, so I have to be especially careful.
