Application HELP!

Okay, I'm obviously not good with computers and I need help. I'm trying to add an application that is not listed already as an application to use on the website. It says you can add it as a URL... I have been trying and trying to do this but no luck. I keep getting an error message. Does anyone have any advice on what I'm doing wrong?!?! I'm trying to add www.livingsocial.com the books section! HELP! Also any help with what an RSS means would be appreciated as well! Thanks so much!

1. Can you describe step-by-step how you have tried it so far?

2. When you say it is an application 'not on this website' do you mean you did NOT use our website's 'add application' feature or do you mean something else?

If you can answer both these questions I might be better able to help.

PS--I forget what RSS stands for...but it allows you to add to your page updated news, blogs, etc from other sites.

Okay, I'm in the community on MyPage...

I go to Add Application on the left hand side...

I then click Add by URL

Then I paste the URL I want into the space provided...

Then this message pops up... There was an error processing you Open Social XML file. Please verify that Open Social XML file is valid and try again...

Any suggestions???? Thanks :)

Can you paste the URL here for me to see? Or send it via private message? if it is simply livingsocial.com -- that is not enough...it needs to be the application URL not just the website URL.

How do you know the application URL... this is where I login to.

Well, that I can't answer...but the whole website is not an application so it needs to be the URL for the application you are adding...

In any case, the catch with the applications on this site is that I allow them and give you access to them but they are ALL third party add-ons for which Doodle Kisses can not give technical support since they are not made by us. So if it doesn't work, there's not much I can do.

I would poke around on the livingsocial site and ask what the application URL is there and see if anyone there can help. Because I am not a member there I have no idea how to find it.
