Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I am really looking to get a 1st generation labradoodle because they don't resemble poodles as much as other generations. I LOVE the labradoodle temperament and I was wondering if 1st generations have the same temperament as the other generations.

Hey, what's wrong with a FIB Goldendoodle?!?!?!?!?!

I know, I know, nothing....it's just a preference. LOL

Roberta, actually Daisy usually looks just like this but the picture above is the day of a "blow" out - too fluffy. She to is a wooly coat.

LOL

I think it's the lilt in my voice, she just about turns her head for everything when I use it.

I've only had my one F1 GD, but in general I would say that the temperament of a puppy has more to do with its parents (regardless of breed) than the generation of doodle.

Coat is definitely less predictable first generation.  Here are two F1 mini GDs (mine and a friend's) at around the same age, just under a year.  Similar body type but the coat is completely different.  Both are mixes of a female golden and male apricot mini poodle.

Huge difference!  I love Luna's head tilt.

I have had two standard F1 goldendoodles. I absolutely love their personalities!
